The Jesus Crew are a group of lively, energetic young Christians aged between 7 and 12. Lively, energetic and dedicated older Christians teach them about the love of God, the teachings of Jesus and the power & guidance of the Holy Spirit. Using Bible-based material, the Word of God is presented in many different ways.

The young people also have plenty of fun together, as they did here when they visitied the Welsh indoor climbing centre for some climbing and a party!

The SAY Group (aged 13-25) meets each week to discuss how the Christian faith relates to today's world. They occasionally lead services at Canton as seen in this pictureand elsewhere, they also also enjoy outings and other activities together.

Junior Soldiers are young people aged 7-18 who have made a simple promise to follow Jesus. They wear a uniform and meet each week to learn more about the Christian faith and The Salvation Army. Many of them are also members of the Young People's Band and Singing Company.

The Junior Soldier promise reads:

Having asked God for forgiveness,
I will be his loving and obedient child.
Because Jesus is my Saviour from sin,
I will trust him to keep me good,
and will try to help others to follow him.
I promise to pray, to read my Bible,
and by his help, lead a life
that is clean in word, thought and deed.

Junior Soldiers in action during the Young People's Anniversary meetings.

The YP Band (ages 7-18) is led by Hayley Beynon. They accompany the congregational singing in one of our Sunday services each week and play a piece of music every two weeks.

The band occasionally plays at other churches, and every Christmas plays carols in the open air in Canton, Cowbridge and Cardiff city centre.

Under their leader Stephanie Bailey, the young people (Aged 7-18) sing enthusiastically each week during one of the Sunday services. They also visit other churches to present musical programmes.
