We believe that God, the creator and sustainer of the universe, loves all people and has made us to live in a relationship with him.

Tragically, our selfishness and sin separates us from God. We cannot know him because we disobey his laws and are unfit for his presence.

Nothing we do can alter this fact, but God has acted to put things right. His Son, Jesus Christ, died and rose again so that we can receive God’s forgiveness and have a new power in our lives. This is what we mean by ‘salvation’.

Each of us needs to respond to this gift of love by:

• admitting our shortcomings to God
• believing that Jesus died for our sins
• claiming God’s forgiveness and the power of his Holy Spirit to make us better people
• deciding to follow Jesus as the Lord of our lives

We are then ‘born again’ into the family of God and can experience his love, peace and joy in our lives, now and for ever.
