Regarding Shelly Hackett's comments about the Lord's Prayer in Welsh, having learnt this many years ago I thought you were right. However, after Googling it I find that the translation I learnt was done in 1558 and a new translation came out in 1998 which is as on our Welsh page. Hope this helps you. Elaine Groenenberg

I thoroughly enjoyed the 125th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday evening, and was very impressed with everyone who took part. Well done! It was also great to have a chance afterwards to catch up with some of you that I haven’t seen for a while. And it was lovely to listen to the band playing in St Michael’s Road on Sunday morning. Thank you.

Saturday July 19th 2003 10-30p.m. Just a note of thanks to the Canton Band for the great programme given here in Exeter tonight as a conclusioon to the Exeter Temple participation in the Exeter Festival 2003. The playing was great, the programme just right for the occasion with somthing for eveyone, and the gospel message came over really well. Thank you to all the band and especially to Bandmaster Steve Martin and your C.O.s Jonathan & Jayne Roberts for allowing you to visit us. May God continue to bless your ministry in the days that are ahead as He did this evening at Exeter.

His Love and Blessings to you, yours, and your sharing here!! ~.j.^ P. S. We have great respect for The Salvation Army. One of my pastors was affiliated with The Salvation Army---One of the best pastors I've ever known! He preached on the streets and played an instrument---later he had a radio program---my eldest sister played the piano and sang with a trio on the program---that was back in the 50s. =) The radio program theme song was: Christ is the Answer---to all of our problems---He holds the KEY to the whole world's Sin. If we Believe Him, If we receive Him---Christ is the Answer to All Our Sin. (may have misplaced a word or two---after 40+ yrs. *grin*) Well, His Love and Blessings to Thee---all the way thru 2003!

It is an exciting experience to go through the website .. to see what the Lord is doing through the Salvation Army at Cardiff. Major Jonathan and Jayne Roberts deserve all appreciation and the praises go to the Lord Jesus Christ who uses them in a wondeful way in Cardiff. Hello to the Welsh, Im lookin to catch up with a blast from the past,so hopefully someone there can help me!? I visited your Corps with Dudley Singing Company donkeys years ago (well i think it was Oct 1992 or 93) I was looking to catch up with the people I billeted with back then-the 'Griffin' family. Erm let me see...there was Tom and Alice, their dad Keith and sadly I cant recall their mom's name but they all lived in this lovely house which has such a long address that mentioned the word 'pantawel' about 70 million times! Last I heard Tom had left the army, but I hope someone can help me out here non the less. If you can help in anyway, please get in touch using the above email. Ta very much. I'll be here waiting in anticipation, Lindsey Taylor.

Hello - very impressed to find Cardiff Canton on the Webb! Now am I suppose to say something religious now ? I was very concerned that all the people I knew when I was at Canton are now looking a little old – does this mean I have aged as well? I could tell you of a happy memory - Steve Martin telling me off now for missing Y.P band practice – well I suppose Dawn and I were the horn section at the time – and we did go and see E.T and not tell him! So he was well within his rights – and it was 18 years ago – yes I must be old! Happy days also with the Corps cadets and Andy and Elaine. But can’t right about that! Hope to keep up with the news from Canton now you’re on the Web – Fauldhouse (Where we live now) does not have a web page – but we have hot and cold running water now!
